This is a special one, for green and white tea lovers alike! The impressive amount of flavor from such a young white peony is truly an experience any tea lover needs to have. The first few steeps have an amazingly fresh green quality to them, with a hint of stringency to keep the flavor lingering. Then as the steeps progress and become longer steeps, the liquor turns to a mellow orange or yellow color. The flavor moves to a more fruity, almost melon and honeysuckle like sweetness that just keep you interested in this tea until the leaves are spent.
The dry and wet leaf have a really appealing look to them, definitely making the freshness and quality clear to see. Even after getting 8-10 steeps of this tea you can transfer it to another vessel and leave to cold brew overnight for even more use.
We prefer 7-8g per 100ml if brewing with Gaiwan. This tea will also handle longer steeps in a kettle or teapot, without risk of bringing out much bitterness at all! Truly is a fun one to brew and drink.
