Mi Lan Xiang, also known as "Honey Orchid Fragrance," is a famous type of Phoenix oolong tea, like Ya Shi Xiang. A fantastic and under-appreciated tea, the meticulous processing of the leaves brings about a powerful aroma that changes as the steeps progress, and a sweet aftertaste or Hui Gan.
This tea, along with the rest of our Phoenix Dan Cong collection comes from the renowned oolong village of Wudongcun Village (Wudong Miao village) at an elevation of around 1000m, picked by a family with over 80 years of generational experience, we're excited to bring the heritage of this tea to more people.
The tea is forgiving to brew, with more bite the longer you steep, and a powerful Cha Qi or tea energy/caffeine kick. You can go light or heavy with this leaf and have a varying experience throughout. We personally prefer more leaf to water ratio. An exciting tea to learn your tea ware, preferred temps, and new techniques. A must try at this price range.
