Tea Cup x1 - Rice Grain Design

These teacups are a great size, with a clear hexagonal siding that allows the color of the tea liquor to shine through called "Rice Grain". This technique is ancient and uncommonly used, where holes are carved from the porcelain and then filled with glaze that, when fired. Due to the nature of this technique, small defects such as opaque bubbles in the clear sections are formed.

We prefer sharing new teas in these cups as the wide mouth design allows for the tea aroma to be easily enjoyed, and the see-through design is always a crowd pleaser. The design is made of a white porcelain that warms easily and keeps heat maintained well, with a simple painted line around the top and bottom of the cup.
