This tea, along with the rest of our Phoenix Dan Cong collection comes from the renowned oolong town of Wudongcun Village (Wudong Miao village) at an elevation of around 1000m, picked by a family with over 80 years of generational experience, we're excited to bring the heritage of this tea to more people.
This tea has a fantastic aroma. Nutty and green, with a buttery smooth mouthfeel and a long lasting flavor in steeping. The leaves are lightly roasted to bring out a smokey sweetness that changes as your session goes. A long with the other Wudongcun Dancong we have, this one has become a crowd pleaser.
200F/95C 5-7g (we prefer 7) 100ml Gaiwan
Western or grandpa style brewing is a great option for this tea as well. 1g/100ml 195F/95C 1min for every 1g/100ml
